Gerard O’Malley is a 22 year resident of the borough and lives on Washington Avenue with his wife Bridget and three daughters Jayne, Holly and Kelly. Gerard was first elected to Newtown Borough Council in 2007. Gerard is serving as the co-chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, member of Police Pension and Long-term Parking Committees, and founding member of the Newtown Borough Traffic Committee and the Joint Newtown Borough and Township Traffic Committee. Prior to being elected to council, he was a member of the Newtown Borough Planning Commission. Gerard earned a BS from the College of New Jersey, a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and a MBA from Rider University. He has utilized his educational background researching, inventing, developing and commercializing pharmaceutical solutions to meet health care needs of patients and caregivers. Mike Sellers has lived on S. Chancellor Street with his wife and two daughters since 2003, having lived in Newtown Township for 17 years. He is a graduate of La Salle University, B.A., and Widener University Law School, J.D. Mike has practiced law in Bucks County since 1976, with an office on S. State Street in Newtown Borough since 1981. He is admitted to the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, Pennsylvania state courts, and the federal courts. His practice concentrates in municipal law, civil litigation, and law enforcement defense. Elected in 2007, he is completing his first 4 year term on Newtown Borough Council. His current Council duties include zoning and planning; liaison to the Planning Commission; and Streets, Lights and Properties. He is a past Chair of the Planning Commission. Other experiences include being a founding member of the Newtown Creek Coalition, and past President and board member of the Bucks County Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) in Doylestown. Julia Woldorf was elected to Borough Council in 2007 and currently serves as Council President. She is a member of the Police; Police Pension; Streets, Lights and Properties; and Personnel committees and is the liaison to the Joint Historic Commission and the Environmental Advisory Council. She is the chair of the ad hoc work group to develop a new Borough website. She is a member of the board of directors of the Bucks County Association of Boroughs and a founding member of the Newtown Creek Coalition. Julia is a graduate of Swarthmore College and received her physical therapy certificate and a Masters in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a board certified pediatric physical therapist practicing in Bucks County, specializing in developmental disabilities, and has an interest in infant mental health. Along with her husband Warren, she has lived on Washington Avenue for 34 years and their daughter Gillian is a 1997 graduate of Council Rock High School.
