Join Dem Candidates at Patriots Park on Saturday, October 25, 2025

As Election Day nears, Democratic candidates running for Borough Council and for Mayor invite voters to gather to share their ideas, their questions, their concerns and their proposals for keeping the Borough a strong, vibrant, and welcoming community. Set in Patriots Park at 112 Court Street, the site of a Revolutionary War skirmish and now a Colonial style garden, the "listening party" from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, features time with Tara Grunde-McLaughlin, candidate for Mayor; Council President Emily Heinz and Councilor Kris Bauman who are running in Ward 1; and Councilor Gina Tognini who is running in Ward 2. These candidates pledge leadership that listens and connections that count. 

The Democratic team invites you to join them for seasonal refreshments at one of the most historic corners of Newtown and to join them in sharing your thoughts because, as Tara notes, "We can govern most effectively when we listen to what our community needs."
